JUDGES PERSONAL INTERVIEW (25%)
The judges personal interview is a very special opportunity for the delegate to represent themselves as an individual and show their personality. Each delegate will have eight minutes of interview time. It will be a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere where the judges will get to know you better. The interview will be in the form of a friendly conversation and not in the form of a test or exam!
Please be natural and relaxed and just simply yourself. Each person is beautiful in their own way. Let our judges see who you are and where you come from.
Please pick a tasteful and elegant outfit, such as a dress or suit, pantyhose and shoes (taupe and closed toe prefered). (No trousers, sweaters, jeans or sneakers.) Judges need to see your individual character and cha rm and not be distracted by your stage presence. If you choose to wear make-up it should look natural. (day look)!
STAGE COMPETITION

***Please remember that the swimsuit competition is about your athletic fitness, posture, grace and the way you walk and present yourself. Look natural and tasteful. If you feel unsure in heels, please pick a flat shoe or smaller heels. It will look better than trying to make it across stage on uncomfortable shoes!

This is the time for you to be a real princess. The evening gown should be full length (a Gown t ouches the floor in some way when you are in your shoes! !!) and represent your individual taste in style and color. Just be beautiful, elegant and brilliant. Please practice walking in your gown at home in the shoes you plan to wear on stage. It is very important that you learn to carry yourself gracefully in the gown, so that you feel comfortable and natural. This competition is about beauty, glamour, posture and confidence. Gloves are allowed if the delegate chooses.
MISS CONGENIALITY :
The delegate themselves will vote on the one delegate they felt was the most friendly, pleasant, helpful, kind, charming and their most favorite delegate in the contest. The majority of votes will determine the winner. Ballots are to be returned after the final rehearsal.

Miss United States Pageant Code of Conduct
All contestants will conduct themselves at all times with dignity, grace and good manners.
A contestant must observe the rules & regulations from the time of her arrival at the host hotel (Pageant Headquarters for Competition Weekend) until her departure from the hotel after the pageant.
Delegate agrees to **reserve her room & secure her reservations at the host hotel (only if you are staying there NOT mandatory).
A contestant will not participate in any interview, photo session, have press contact or engage in any publicity of any kind unless a member of the pageant staff is present during pageant weekend.
A contestant will not attend any function or make any public appearances other than at regularly scheduled events during Competition Weekend. "Free time" is time on her own.
A contestant WILL NOT smoke in public during competition weekend.
Contestants must conduct themselves properly at public outings and during all other visible times while at the hotel, or during our pageant functions.
A contestant, her family, and friends will not be in the company of, or approach a Pageant Judge before, during or after the Competition. It is not necessary or appropriate for a contestant, family or friend to approach a judge.
Contestant will advise family & friends that they are not to come on stage at the conclusion of the pageant UNTIL the Pageant Staff has advised their approval. There are many photographs that need to be taken of the new winners and their court; it is much too crowded and confusing to allow others up.
Any problem, concern or complaint will immediately be referred and resolved by Pageant Officials.
Contestants will maintain a punctual time schedule in order for all phases of the competition, including rehearsals, to run smoothly. Please cooperate fully with the Pageant Staff. BE ON TIME for all events as outlined in the time schedule!
If Contestant is crowned one of the new Queens, she must remain with pageant staff after the crowning and photo shoots are complete to review and sign her new contract.
Contestant must never have, or will not during her reign, pose for any photography, video, or film associated with nudity or pornography. Nor has she ever, or is presently involved with prostitution or any form of employment which involves partial or complete nudity. Failure to disclose this information will result in automatic disqualification and/or relinquishment of your title.
Contestant must not have been convicted of a felony crime.
There will be absolutely no refunds.
